Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. I've been working for some time on a multi-player Op for CMAK that depicts the US Marine landing on Tarawa Atoll in the Pacific, November, 1943.

After 3 days of combat the Marines took the tiny coral atoll, with its vital airstrip defended by elite Japanese troops of the Special Naval Landing Force, but at tremendous cost.

The battle will be forever known as 'Bloody Tarawa'.

Anyone interested can view some details of my project here:

Thanks, Koen -

I will remember you when BEACH RED is finished (not too much longer!).

The two Marine Infantry commanders will enjoy working together - each has their own objectives Planned, but as we know, Plans don't always last....

There may be some competition between commanders for Naval Gunfire assets - dice rolls & coin-tosses will decide such matters at the Staff Officer level Smiley
