Dorniers Do-217 V Prototype

"This is a Do 17, Do 215 or Do 217.

In detail:
(1) On this picture the housing of the engines seem to end in a sharp vertical edge behind the trailing edge of the wings. The Do 17 eninge housings ended at the trailing edge with a round trail.
(2) There is a rotatable gun turret visible on the upper side short behind the cockpit. The Do 17 and Do 215 had a MG 15 in a ball mount.
(3) Uncommon is the long tail section behind the twin rudder unit. In 1937 the RLM (aeronautical ministry) wanted the Do 17 successor to fullfill bombing missions in horizontal and diving flight. Therefore one or more of the Do 217V prototypes (V1 - V9) had a large cross-like speed brake.

In sum, I think it is the Do-217V Prototype with speed brake"

Thanks again, Rattler.  Smutt's post at the old site contains an image of the speed brake which matches the look of the tail on my postcard image.
Was that speed brake only on prototypes or not?
