Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Teamspeak should satisfy most gamers needs in this respect.

That's good and Ventrilo does the same thing also.

I believe you need a server running in order to hook up.  I don't know if Skype has a party line feature but you wouldn't need a server for that one.

Skype does conference calls for sure. I've never tried it with more than 3 people.

How about we set up a W&T voice chat channel with one of these? As I'd love to speak in RT with you guys.

Just asking...

Good that you´re just asking... Knipoog

I have had an encounter over phone some yrs ago with one of my most cherished (but never known in RL) internet mil gaming experts, half of the charm that had built up over yrs went when I heard his voice, and from his change in tone it would appear the same from his side... (long since recuperated; the problem was that I had built up a "ficitious"/virtual idea of what the guy would sound like, and RL hit me hard: American/Scottish accent mix... waa ).

Personally (while you all by all means please feel free to call me in an emergency: My emergency phone is +34-971 239 218, and you will only be able to contact someone from 2000Z til 0400Z) I would prefer to either keep things on email/forum/IRC or to meet in person.

I am probably a bit old fashioned in those things.

Sorry Bud, but I can't imagine what kind of emergency I would have, requiring me to call someone in Majorca? However, if you dont want to hear from me in person, thats fine, as the chat room would be voluntary anyway. I just look at it as another means to discuss things and build a sense of community.

I also found out the chat box is in Dutch, but you can change that:

Click on "Opties", then on "Tekst":  Where it says "Taal" you can change that from "nederlands" to "English"... Voilá!
