Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. yo Mike,

welkom/welcome..damn...mixing English and Dutch...

English: welcome aboard

English: what are your military plans? the Belgian forces are getting very limited in the future....there won't be many options left....lots of bases are getting closed...

English: Joining the belgian forces isnt going to happen i think Smiley so i'm looking to other countries.

With a nursing degree and going for medical I think you can get in whatever army as young as you are, ever thought of the French Legion if Belgium is out of question?

From what I heard you might find yourself family there.

I looked into the legion, but the life style is too much for me. i want dicipline and real army stuff, but also still be able to go home and contact my family and all. and i want to use my nursing degree, wich i would not get to do in the legion. I am looking into the USA or Australia, but its pretty far from here so i'll see how that goes. Maybe The netherlands are another option, i always liked their Korps Mariniers (marine corps)

I applied for the Dutch forces before this summer but was rejected.
Not of my age, 39, but because I didn't have the Dutch nationality. So in your case Mike you should have a double nationality.
