Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. and nothing has changed...

websites are closed
blogs are blocked
journalists disappeare
more and more police and armoured forces are present

but still...due to the large population and economy they can host the Olympic games....

why isn't China on a lonely island ?

there's no democracy
people, thousands of people, loose their houses due to constructions like dams and the Olymic games but nobody can complain...

the only thing we CAN see are clandestine reports...

couple of months ago a Belgian reporter was 'robbed' of all his equipment by police...he's now back online but had to report from the Tienanmen square with a small handcamera....

the birthplace of the Dalai Lama is even blocked by Chinese police/secret police...

at least in Belgium we're priviliged with the right of free speech and free to express our thoughts...this way we get to see all reports...

BBC attempt in bringing a report from the square, the umbrella tactics...it's so stupid it becomes funny

and they're proud of it:
China's state news agency Xinhua also reported that the number of accidents fell by 19% to 413,700 last year

only 413.700 people died...
