Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Finally started reading the book itself after seeing the movie for about 100 times  Brede lach

It's nice to compare the book and the movie.

Is it a good book? Ofcourse it is, I especially like the "small" texts at the pagebottoms.

Bought this one 2nd hand, as I do with most of my books.

Koen,
It is an excellent book, and I'd highly recommend it.  I was so pleased with the book and its details that I tried making some ASL scenarios based on the action around the bridge.  Of course they weren't very good, but the fun was in the research.  Hauptmann Gräbner's ill-fated charge across the bridge was captured well in the movie, but was terrifying to read about.  I'm glad you are reading the book.  There is so much in it that the movie was not able to include.

Finished it by now and I really enjoyed it.

It's easy to read, just the right amount of details...
