Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Hi Everyone!

Presented here is a three-view line drawing and several colour illustrations of a WW2 German fighter design known as the DB Jager.

I like all the art work of Marek Rys, here is a whole set of them: http://www.luft46.com/mrart/lufartmr.html

A model of the Daimler-Benz DB 609 Jaeger (NOTE: It is "Jaeger" or "Jäger", not "Jager") can be aquired here: http://www.motionmodels.com/custluft.html

Last, another picture I found on juniorGeneral.org, as you can see it is substantially different from the drawing and the model (cocpit position, wing tips, rudder):

You would hope they had designed an ejector seat to go with that one.

What would be even more interesting was how they proposed to have the propeller shafts go through the cockpit back to the mid-fuselage position of the plane.

If you look, the engine and propellers are all in line with the cockpit. No possible way for this to have ever been made.

Good Hunting.

Maybe they were looking at German pilots with strategically placed holes for the shaft, I know that is what the Allies were planning to achieve.
