Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. I think it was the Mad R who said sometthing along the lines of if you want this site to be.... we need help

He is dead right & I ask members to think for a minute about the benefits they will get.
If 10% of you offered to help even an hour or so a week you would have a say in creating it & as you find the subject intresting probably enjoy doing it most of the time.
In fact some of you will find 3 years from now that you are doing far more than that & you will suddenly realise these guys you talk to on the internet are now some of your closest friends & you will jump on a plane to go meet them.
I virtualy guarantee it these arent guys you share work with they are guys you share an intrest with.

You all have a skill, good researcher, good language skills even just 1 finger typing tidying up or proof reading, games are your thing offer to run it & do tourneys. A Staff forum could be set up with a to do list & you could look at & say I could that.
If your good at finding data but say English is not your first language you could do the bit you like & ask for someone to type it up.

Our current society is a take one everybody wants a bit of the pie & no one wants to bake it has been my unfortunate experience.
Well guess what someone has to bake it & as I said the reward can be surprising As you get a whole circle of real freinds.
That might be worth an hour or 2 of your time without taking into account the intresting stuff you come across.
like I said worth thinking about?

ahum...well said...

when the 3 of us discussed WaT we agreed very fast that WaT would be an open project...

NOT an elite club who are posting and others who can only read...only a limited amount of topics are closed while we build them

The A-Z's are closed but there's 1 topic to post ALL your A-Z's into and we divide them into the closed topics...

The rest is open for posting, sharing and replying...

AND we do not have the intention to open all topics ourselves....

so ask what you want or need...we won't say yes at every question but we'll discuss the questions and remarks...every single one of them

I big area that would help alot of us is to do reviews for the games that you play.

Most of us are on limited budgets. We can't buy every wargame that has ever been made.

That means we would like to get some straight up comments about those that you do play. What you like about them, or just as importantly, what you don't. Let the rest of us know what it is you are playing and how you feel about the games you do play.

A side benefit to that is that game companies look at sites like ours and I know of at least two of the game companies that are looking at our site. You make comments here and they will be read by those that make the decisions on what you get to buy and play.

Good Hunting.
