Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Hi Everyone!

I'd like to start posting aircraft illustrations, profiles and line drawings on the forum, and if it's O.K. to do so, then what category would I post it under?

It would be nice to have a resource like that in this forum, and we could even become a destination for people interested in this subject. (We could even give some of the aircraft sites some competition in this area.)

check the aerial equipment section, would that be the right place? http://www.warandtactics.com/smf/aerial-equipment/

If there have accumulated many posts of the same character (like drawings) we could make a sub-board

Just an idea,

After having seen the first results, I wonder if it might not be a good idea to write a short synopsis of specs/history/role for each of those a/c below them?

My guess is that many people wont know what the x-wing project was (or is, for that matter: Has been revived by Boeing) if they are not aviatioin enthusiasts and the synopsis/summary might be found interesting. I would refrain, though, from just adding the Wikipedia page, we should find our own format if we want to do that.

Hi Rattler!

Thanks for bringing this up!  The reason that I didn't write a small synopsis is because I thought that members of this forum were already pretty well-acquainted with the information I was posting!

I'll follow your suggestion and add more information when I post.
