Title: IRAN: the next war?
Post by: Koen on 17 November 2011, 20:42:17
we all know IRAN is at the top of the list for a military intervention

* Israel hates IRAN and Israel is backed by the US........... as always
* the US knows what's happening in IRAN...
* UK supports US in this matter
* recent reports from the nuclear watcher indicate that there's more going on in Iran than only nuclear 'energy'

more and more in newspapers, TV and all media channels..... here we go again?

NewsMan had reported tha in one news merger, it could be easily interpreted from reading between the lines that the missile program boss was the target and who was behind (actually, that is what I thought when reading it):

http://www.warandtactics.com/smf/the-military-newsflash/iran-news-merger-2-%284-items%29/msg26365/#msg26365 (http://www.warandtactics.com/smf/the-military-newsflash/iran-news-merger-2-%284-items%29/msg26365/#msg26365) , 2nd entry.

OTOH today Iran deniued that either US or Israel had a hand in the blast:

Iran has insisted that an explosion that killed the architect of its missile programme was not carried out by Israel or the US, despite widespread reports that it was the work of the Israeli secret service, the Mossad.

On Saturday a huge blast at the Alghadir missile base at Bid Ganeh, 30 miles to the west of Tehran, killed 17 of the country's elite revolutionary guards, including Major General Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam, a senior commander described as the pioneer of the regime's missile programme.

A senior Iranian military official on Wednesday denied reports that Israel was linked to the blast. Speaking at a ceremony commemorating those killed on Saturday, Iran's armed forces joint chief of staff, Major General Hassan Firouzabadi, said in quotes carried by the semi-official Fars news agency: "The recent incident and blast is not related to Israel or America."
