Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. Today the secretary of defence announced a midlife upgrade for the CV90 tracked IFV in use by the Dutch army.
The total cost is estimated at 660 million euros.

The update contains:
- New missile defense shields, that detect and attack incoming missiles.
- A thermal sight for the driver.
- Spike AT missile defense.
- New rangefinders and sights for the gun and the Spike.
- New IT infrastructure and a new battlefield management system.

BAE Systems Hägglunds (BSH) asked more money for the project, several items have therefore be cancelled, among them new camouflage.
Not all vehicles get the  MLU, only 122 of the available 141.

First deleiveries start in 2024 with the las vehicle deliverd in 2026.
