Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. MANAMA, Bahrain – An alleged Iranian-linked terror cell had contact with the Tehran's powerful Revolutionary Guard and planned attacks against high profile sites, including Saudi Embassy and a Gulf causeway linking Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, authorities in Bahrain claimed Sunday.

Obama: Iran sanctions have ‘enormous bite’

(The Associated Press) KAPOLEI, Hawaii — Defending his efforts to halt the Iranian nuclear threat, President Obama said Sunday that the economic sanctions against the country have had “enormous bite,” and that he is united with Russian and Chinese leaders in ensuring Iran does not develop an atomic weapon and unleash an arms race across the Middle East.

The president, at a news conference that closed an Asia-Pacific economic summit, did not specifically say he would consider military action if Tehran were to persist in arming itself with a nuclear weapon. But he added: “We are not taking any options off the table. Iran with nuclear weapons would pose a threat not only to the region but also to the United States.”

Obama’s stand came laced with presidential politics. Republican presidential contenders, including former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, have assailed Obama for not doing more to keep Iran from getting nuclear weaponry. Said Obama: “Is this an easy issue? No. Anyone who claims it is, is either […]

11 November 2011

"It could have a serious impact in the region, and it could have a serious impact on US forces in the region," he told journalists. "And I think all of those things, you know, need to be carefully considered."

His comments come after days in which Israel has reportedly been pushing for […]
