the deportation of 76.000 Jews, only 2566 survived.

This is the 1st time that this was ruled in France....

Mitterrand was against these investigations...later he confessed he was a member of the Vichy regime.

I would highly recommend one of my favorite movies, a documentary called Le Chagrin et le pitie [the sorrow and the pity is it's name in the US].  Shows interviews in the '60s and '70s with everyone from Communists to Monarchists; all views are aired, some differences shown between friends and family; some 'confessions' about what was done during the occupation.  A great film!

don't know this movie, interesting, any ideas where and how to find it...I collect WWII movies...
