Love both, nice stuff!

That's true Solideo.

Here's a nice relaxing song:

Belinda Carlisle - Circle In The Sand

Belinda Carlisle - Circle In The Sand

I knew that song, and recently I listened to it.

Now time for this (with lyrics). I love this album

Queensrÿche- I don't believe in love (with lyrics)

And this one

Metallica- Welcome Home (Sanitarium) ( Lyrics )

Relaxing music is good sometimes,  maybe more than sometimes.  Here's a song that Solideo and Rattler may like,  it's about Spain.

Sometimes I remember my age... hdbng

Nothing wrong about that, experience ineveitably goes with age, e.g. the young Zidane would never have triumphed in El Madrid... and he is/was the overall most complete soccer player I ever have seen in my life, and I am happy to have seen him play so often... :

Here you go: Dribbling, passes, control, and goals, he was not young, but experience told him where to be when:  champ

Music (after the 1 min intro): "La Caution - Thé à la menthe" (and one of the best soccer vids ever, also):

ZIDANE - EL MAESTRO (VIVA EL FUTBOL)

First song: De Los Alibaba, "Perro", 2nd song: "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Nirvana (and I feel embarrased for the horrible ortography all through the vid, and: FORGET EVEN STARTING TO COMPARE ROBINHO: He is the "Triathlon Man": "Corre, Bicicleta, y: Nada (Spanish pun: "Runs, bycicle - his dribbling standard move - and: Nothing: "Nada" = swims and nothing, double meaning), as can well be seen in this vid from 1:24 -2:10 !:

magia de zidane

Enjoy (as I know you are "Merengue"  ban)

I don´t give a sh*t for football, is not the thing that makes me not sleep: watching 22 millionaries kicking a ball and making me angry.

I prefer to disturb my mind with other things. I am a social football watcher, I simply do it when we are all friends together in a bar having tapas and beer and nobody really watches the game.   Knipoog

well, watching Zidane is like contemplating a "Van Gogh" or a "Rembrandt", or listening to Bach or Beethoven... Smiley And, whatever he earned, except for the dsigrace in his last match (the headbutt, also visible in the first vid), he never made me angry even when he alone beat Barca... Smiley

There is a 60  min vid out there somewhere, just showing his feet through one match, to "Carmina Burana" in whole, it never gets tiring... Smiley (some snips make the intro of the first vid I posted). Remember this was an answer to your "feeling my age" bit... Smiley

Speaking seriously, for me only three true games exist (different layout emphasis of cause, if you understand any game as a model of real life) that hone your skills in the various aspects of real life: 1. Poker (character), 2. Chess (wits), and 3. Soccer (teamwork).

Song question of the 2nd vid solved: De los Alibaba: "Perro" (they´re from Santo Domingo).

Talking about Van Goth reminds me of this song about him. (btw,  I have a photo of a Vincent Van Goth painting, that I took a few weeks ago in Montreal,  I'll post it on the other thread) -

Vincent (Starry Starry Night) Don McLean

Beautiful song.

Not unknown to happen, my friend, if you load your RAM with lots of pics (pics take lots of memory).

My recommendation (from having been burnt several times that way):

- use Firefox and use msg preview (that saves content every time you preview, even after a crash Firefox will restore it)
- OR compose offline (saving every step, of cause) and then just post the result
- OR post in the staff section to compose (under a "draft" prefix to the title), editing your post all along as often as you like, and only when finished post to the section you want it seen.

Hope that helps,

Ah, what great songs, Jilly! You really whirl this thread about (in the positive sense)!  thx2 urock

Now, today I was eating out in the house of a good friend (whom I am trying to convince to provide me with material to get him into our Zoo, he deserves it, more soon, stay tuned...), and heard a singer I had not ever heard before: Julieta Venegas!

Now running in the background while I type, I remember having had a discussion with Solideo about the German singer "Nena" some time ago (well, not really a discussion, it was rather one sided.. Smiley ), and the music in the background of dinner reminded me soooo much of the feelings Nena raised in her time, I want to share...

This one especially for Solideo (the third !) as he will understand the lyrics (you can google them with "letra insert song title and author here" and then passing them through the translation machine:, and then also for myself to fall back to off and on, as I also play the Accordeon and keep saying since years this should be a standard instrument in modern pop music: She uses it with a lot of grace and sense, to support her nice voice arrangements...

Enjoy, (or not):

HI Rattler, sometimes we desagree in music. I don´t will download this bird´s songs (Julieta Venegas).

Today I am so tired of love songs that I wanna finish when listening this ad Pablo Neruda poetical video recital.

Life´s illustration (not a song)

What a nice poem, and I especially like the way the gentleman reads it: The music goes well with it, and so do the pictures.

Here a quick translation for our English speaking users:

Quote
I can write the saddest lines tonight.

Write, for example: "The night is starry
and shiver they do, blue, the stars, far away. "

The night wind whirls in the sky and sings.

I can write the saddest lines tonight.
I loved her, and sometimes she loved me, too.

On nights like this one I held her in my arms.
I kissed her over and over under the endless sky.

She loved me, and sometimes I loved her, too.
How could one not have loved her great still eyes.

I can write the saddest lines tonight.
Thinking that I do not have her anymore. To feel that I lost her.

To hear the immense night, more immense without her.
And the verse falls on the soul as dew on the grass.

What does it matter that my love could not keep her.
The night is starry and she is not with me.

That's all. In the distance someone sings. Far away.
My soul can´t accept that I have lost her.

As if to get her closer, my gaze is searching for her.
My heart is searching for her, and she is not with me.

The same night whitening the same trees.
We, then, are no longer the same.

I no longer love her, true, but how I loved her.
My voice searched the wind to touch her ear.

Someone else. She will be of someone else. Like before my kisses.
Her voice, her light body. Her infinite eyes.

I no longer love her, true, but maybe I love her.
Love is so short and forgetting is so long.

Because in nights like this one I held her in my arms,
my soul cannot accept I have lost her.

Although this is the last pain she causes me,
and these are the last verses that I write.
