Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. As one of my virtual friends knows, this is not my best moment, so my music goes rounding around with my mind.

WASP

W.A.S.P. - Heaven's Hung In Black

I can't take anymore
I have no more wings
I can't take anymore
The gates of heaven sealed

Don't you hear me
Don't you hear me
Don't you fear me
Of never coming back
Do you know what it's like
When heaven's hung in black

I can't take anymore
Our walls are black and bleed
I can't take anymore
No rooms here for your screams

Don't you hear me
Don't you hear me
Don't you fear me
Of never coming back
Oh, no more tears please
Hanging heaven black

No don't you leave me to die
Don't you leave me to die
Don't you leave me to die
No don't you leave me to die

And you'll know what it's like
The wailing wall of sighs
Hanging heaven black
And you'll know what it's like
When paradise is blind
When heaven's hung in black

Time? How can you say
That I've no time
Am I blind? Now you say that
Heaven's blind, yeah
Across the bridge of sighs, blind, time, time

Oh lord, don't you leave me to die
No, don't you leave me to die
Don't you leave me to die
No lord, don't you leave me to die

And you'll know what it's like
The wailing wall of sighs
Hanging heaven black
And you'll know what it's like
When paradise is blind
Painting heaven black
Across the bridge of sighs
Your losing heaven's light
Heavens hung in black

METALLICA (THIN LIZZY´S COVER)

Metallica - Whiskey In The Jar: Video (External Embedding Disabled)

Mixing both posted before...have to arrive at BECK

Beck - Loser (External Embedding Disabled)

Enjoy...or not. Cheers

Solideo, my friend, when you are really down, you need to go deeper down to recover (my experience), wreck yourself, go to pieces, and then start recomposing yourself as new (El Zahir, pierda tu historia personal!... contandola...!):

Tom Waits (in a bar at last hour, with the stools on the bar, and the bar tender wanting to go but staying because he pities you) will always do it, also (if it´s about love) Marla Glen (be sure to empty a bottle of JD on me, then, and be sure to DON´T CARRY! - y0u might find yourself detained for life time - ... drama)

(lyrics for this version, here (scroll down a bit): http://ohlmer.es/blog/524)

The Piano Has Been Drinking (Bounced Checks version '81)

And then, Marla (lyrics by me, all stuff on the internet has been copied w/o thinking from *one* stupid translator, and strange as it may be: THEY ALL COPY THE SHIT, despite it is so easy to hear the internet lyrics are wrong...):

Quote
Seems like I can´t find the words to tell you I want you here
Seems like I can´t find the words to tell you I want you near
When our eyes meet, the love in my heart sinks deeply inside
For your love is the cure and the answer to my heart
Can that be?

You know you hurt me
You knew that I was crumbled up inside

Never again I want to feel that feeling
Never again I want to hurt like that
Kind of feeling it made me close my heart
Kind of hurt that made me feel lies
And never again I want to live this feeling

Seems like I can´t find no ways to tell you I want you near

You know you hurt me...
You knew that I was crumbled up inside...

You knew that we could never be no more, no
And now we both feel how love can be...

It seems like I can´t find no words to tell you I want you near
Seems like I can´t find no words to tell you I want you here
When our eyes meet the love in my heart sinks deeply inside
For your love is the cure and the answer to my heart
Can that be?

You know you hurt me...
You knew that I was crumbled up inside...

You knew that we could never be no more, no
And now we both feel how love can be...

You hurt me

Marla Glenn 'You hurt me'

Sometime it´s the simple songs that make us go ONWARDS!

And, as I know you like it hard, something to get up again:

NOFX- The Separation of Church and Skate

Rattler

P.S.: And, then, there is always "The Rattler Way Of Life" (even if - DISCLAIMER -  it might lead to serious medical consequences Smiley ), and, IIRC, it was *you* who pointed me to it... Smiley

Animo, rey! Que la fuerza te acompañe!

Hey, Solideo! Another one up so early in the morning!  salute

Here from a guy I only recently discovered (I guess FACMan will also like it), he does an interesting mix of funk, latin, jazz and chill, plenty from him on youtube, and most is extremely listenable (some CDs from him will make it onto my machine):

Here a chills one:

Like The Wind - Mark Towns Latin Jazz Bolero

Latin groove chill:

Psychedelic Latin Jazz - Mark Towns - "Touch"

Enjoy,

Rattler

lol,  solideo,  that's quite a music clip there of Ash Rai.   Just so you know,  I'm not really into Indian movies/music,  although they can be fun to watch at times.

Oh, there is more from where this came from  Brede lach:

Like, e.g., Cal Tjader (and when I put that on on fiestas, actually people dance to it´s nice, relaxed grooves, despite being a bit old, all ´70s + early ´80s... Usually best digested towards end of the fiesta, a GT in hand and space on the dance floor... whistle)

Turn volume up and trebles down to get the dancefloor effect... Smiley

CAL TJADER - SHOSHANA - LATIN JAZZ

CAL TJADER - SPEAK LOW

Actually I think they would all lend well to a modern re-make, and some found out already: Here a remix of Cal Tjaders "morning Mist" by A.T.B.A.N Klann, makes the same effect, just more my style for dacning:

A.T.B.A.N Klann - Goin' for a Ride

And finally, here a nice chill out one, for taking the last GT when coming home in the morning and looking at the sun rise over the mountains and sea... Smiley

Cal Tjader - What Are You Doing for the Rest of Your Life

Enjoy,

Rattler

I seriously will answer all the last posts in this thread (after mine) alltogether, but, Solideo, this is OUTRAGEOUS !!!!  hdbng: (for Jilly: This is just a coloquial expression for: "I have a hunch you just might have got that one wrong a little... Smiley" )

This is NOT RESERVOIR DOGS! (and whoever told you it was, should be sent to prison for at least a month and made seen all Tarantino films over and over again - with open eyes like in Clockwork Orange - until it sinks in):

This is from the - IMHO - best Tarantino Film ever (and I know you here keep changing film titles all the time - a leftover from Franco times censors at work - , but I also guess even in Spain they do not change the film names to match another film of the same author  hihi)...

This is one of the key scenes of PULP FICTION, check 1:18/19

Pulp Fiction Trailer

Some more of one of my favorite movies here (and just for you, in Spanish: Interested English speaking readers google EZEKIEL 25:17):

Best film dialogue ever:

Pulp FIction mix 1 (spanish)

Or (back to English), where Vincence explains the difference between Europe and US...?

Pulp Fiction - Royal with Cheese

Remember the movie? If you havent seen it yet, its a "si and si" movie... Smiley (all IMHO, of cause) Smiley

As I seem to understand Jilly tends more to the one of the two sorts of music (Blues Brothers: "We have both: Country and Western..". Smiley ), let me answer like this:

Curio Cowboys: Sentimental Journey
