Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. I had to order the Blu-Ray 'Full Disclosure' version in the US using Amazon.

The Blu-Ray version is worth the money, 3 Blu-Rays with 2 versions of the movie, docus and much more... the video quality is outstanding  smallclap

Dunno if the movie needs lot of attention on WaT, I suppose that most of you know the movie by now...

But still... get the BR version and watch the Redux version... it makes sense and it's way more logical and easier to understand than the 1979 version!

I did like the new version, specially the newly added scenes with the French and the TV camera team filming with Coppola himself jelling at Sheen.
Hilarious moment.

this movie needs all the extra scenes... it makes it all more logic... you get the feeling Coppola tried to create...

and the Blu-Ray was, as promised all around the internet, a real upgrade and a 'worth the money' investment!

Not long ago a Dutch tv series (about colonial history forgot the name though) was shot at the same location in the Philippines where Coppola filmed.
His set was destroyed by a tropical storm.
40 years later the Dutch set also got destroyed by a tropical storm Knipoog

I still have to see the docu but they say that the 'making of' is even crazier than the movie... and that's something  danger

Yes, its on the dvd /blu ray.
It clearly describes the scene, chaos and sometimes devastation and despair Knipoog
Besides Sheen dint have to act being drunk or high, he was most of the time drunk and high Smiley
