Hey, I once will put up our Spanish history about our Royal Family, also *very* intersting (and disturbing from some POV).
I guess, monarchies are like that, as long as we do not end up as the English...
Not even a faint chance here for the Spanish to come out like them: An anecdote I already told Henk when he visited me:
One day, my wife (long before being it) in summer went with her moto from Port d`Andratx to Camp de Mar over the mountains, when suddenly her moto stopped: No gasoline left (worst unthinkable disaster for a pilot, but she was never

Anyway, suddenly that car stops behind her, a nice gentleman gets out, asks about the trouble, and even has some gasoline to share, on she went, fine and not unusal so far for this island.
About three week later, while watching the news on TV, she suddenly says: "But that is the guy that gave me some gasoline!"... Turns ut, it was Juan Carlos... The King! (and at that time she had not even realized)...!
*That´s* a royal family...
Last week, one of our crazy but well loved reporters from "La Sexta" = Program 6 (Jordi Évole, "El Follonero" = literally "The Fuck- Upper", in a positive way: A guy that stirs up everything...
, the funny guy with the glasses) wanted to give a present to the English Queen in an official act in a Brithish Cadet Academy, a ham from Spain (by now you should know that the Spanish have a knack about their hams!
), but the protocol made it impossible (I have lived it myself with princess Anne as photographer: In UK you are not allowed to talk to Royalty if they dont ask you someting, and if they do you may only answer "Y" or "N"...):
