August 17th 1942

target: railroadshunt [?] near Rouen, France

12 B-17E's from 97th BombingGroup

commanded by Pilot-Colonel Frank A. Armstrong

There was a 2nd attack by 6 B-17's to distract the Germans from the main attack.
In this attack there was 1 plane slightly damaged by....birds!

Both attacks were escorted by RAF Spitfires
