This postcard dates from 1942 and although its purpose is mostly to boost morale by showing postive images of US troop training, it does provide us with information in some of the equipment and techniques of early war US training.  It says "Official US Navy Photographs" in the lower left corner.

Packing parachutes at the air field in San Antonio Texas on a 1941 postcard. 
This may well be for pilots, not actual paratroopers (don't think the US had a paratrooper unit in 1941) but since it shows parachute equipment, I thought I'd post it here.

WWII postcard of a paratrooper but in a humorous light.  The jumper is covered in birds but doesn't have a hunting license.

US paratrooper on 1943 postcard mailed from Camp Davis, North Carolina.  This is a bit ironic as Camp Davis was the premiere Antiaircraft Artillery Training Center in the US.  The postcard is from the 'Army Airplane Series' of postcards which showed various aspects of life in the Army Air Corp (precursor to the US Air Force) but the soldier who mailed this card would never be shooting at paratroopers nor jumping from a plane.
