Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Q: On almost every page i see those small square "-" and "+" icons. What are they good for or what do they indicate?

A: I guess you are referring to the "upshrink" icons    and  .

These icons appear according to your configuration and where the Admins have made them available.

They serve to hide or show content so that you can configure your pesonal layout of every page and they work as a toggle:

Let´s say you are not interested to follow the "Non-Military Discussions & Info" section (#8) on the forum page, click in the    icon right in front of the "8" and this section will be hidden (and at the same time the icon changes to   : A click in this one will show the sectioin again).

There are several areas where you can personalize your layout: In the header section (you can hide your avatar if you have a small screen and don´t like to scroll), the "Home" page (you can hide or show left or right column there), the "Forum" page (you can hide or show most of the sections), and so on.

Hope that helps,
