Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Finally got it to work:

The new WaT Chat System is here!

Find the "Chat" button in the button row on top of the page, right between "Donations" and "Logout", click it and you are in (hopefully).

Some quirks are still present, also we need to finetune the chat features, but basically it works:

You can chat in various channels that all have the name of the forum boards, or in the general "public" channel.

On the "Forum" page you can always see how many users are in chat, and who, also the button shows it.

and....correct me when I'm wrong but you can also chat in private rooms

The new chat now works as anticipated, lots of features there to be discovered.

Worked on the chat system again a bit this night:

- Chat will now open in a new tab and not in a pop-up window

- Logging out from chat now directs you to forum view

- ChatBot is now "Baghdad Bob"

- "Public" channel is now "WaT-Aisle" (the hyphon wa necessary a channel names may have no spaces)

- Fixed the language list (the letters of foreign languages were cryptically garbled), now everybody should find his language layout for the chat box at one click

- Added a little code that shows (currently *only* in "Forum" view  Bedroefd ) at one glance *who* is in chat.

- Reduced the channel list to 25 generally useful channels

Any comments on the changes most welcome, especially on the tab and logout-redirection (if people do not like it I can revert the changes).

is there a way to change the name from 'AJAX Chat' into 'WaT chat' and/or any other 'WaT' and/or 'War and Tactics' titles on the chatpage?
