Title: Commonwealth cemetery, Hottot-Les-Bauget (F)
Post by: stoffel on 15 August 2015, 11:10:16
During our visit in Normandy this summer (august 2015) on the way to Bayeux we came along this Commonwealth cemetary.
Its position is along the D5 just before you enter the small town.
Buried there are more than 300 commonwealth soldiers, from varioua regiments and support units.
Located in the corner of the cemetary are graves of fallen German soldiers.

Sections grave to the right.

The German graves are located in the corner, in contrary to the German cemetaries all individual graves have a stone. The UK ones are round on top where the German stones are curved. Only the names of the soldiers are incripted with a German cross.
