Operation Quyet Thang

US Military Operation in Vietnam

11 March - 7 April 1968
1st Infantry Division, 9th Infantry Division, 25th Infantry Division, ARVN 5th Infantry Division, ARVN 25th Infantry Divisions, ARVN airborne battalions, and the Vietnamese Marines combined for this operation in Saigon and 5 surrounding provinces. There were a total of 22 U.S. and 11 ARVN battalions conducting this post-Tet clearing operation to mop up pockets of rebels. operation in Kontum and Pleiku Provinces
VC/NVA KIA's: 2,658
US KIA's:
1st Infantry Division suffered 29 KIAs and 332 WIAs
25th Infantry Division suffered 50 KIAs and 396 WIAs.
