Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. To this day I hate Cobra gunships, they're nothin but a bunch of adolescent jet jockeys. I was within seconds of shooting one down myself one day. Doctrine says, air support is to come in parallel to the line of friendlies, this fool was firing 2.75s from behind us at targets downhill from us...ever seen a 2.75 in flight? Not the most stable of flight paths! So here we are up to our asses in deep yoghurt and this clown is scaring the crap out of us! (I wasn't a Facman yet, so I had no way to talk to him)

Rockets?

Aye, 2.75" rockets. Watch them as they leave their tubes in the videos, they take awhile to stabilize in their flight path. This Cobra was probably only 100 yards behind our position when he let loose. All I know is when I looked behind me at the sound of his pickling off about half a dozen rockets, I sincerely wasn't sure that they weren't directed at us. None hit us, but as I said, we were already under fire from the NVA in front of us, and he wasn't helping our sense of security, with this disregard off protocol.

Well, Brother, you're still here to talk about it.  The 'Snake did something good, right?
