OPFOR Battle Book 1988 ST100-7

FAS (Federation of American Scientists) has this very interesting Manual on OPFOR from 1988 (last updated 1999) published here, a must-read for anybody who wants to understand cold war concepts from both sides.

It gives an comprehensive overview of Soviet doctrine and tactics in this time period and includes following chapters:

Navigation through the site is a bit arkward (the sub-chapters are on the left sidebar and you always have to up one level to reach other chapters), but it is a fascinating document for all tactically interested.
