- North Korea sent all his team to the gulag, it is rumored that they will be sentenced to life time hard labour

- French president Sarkozy suspended the personal of the soccer federation, the manager and the whole team by decretation.

Fifa already mentioned that it wont allow interference from governments.
If a specific governments acts against the FIFA rules that country can risk of being eliminated for the next cup.
Wasnt it Serbia or jougoslavia that was exciled for the European cup in 1992?

Serbia, for starting the war vs Bosnia. Denmark came in as supplement from holidays, on shortest notice and w/o training (the players did not expect anything and refused to eat "sport" food but went sightseeing all the time and ate at McDonalds - and then, despite a long injury list, won it (to everybodys - myself included - delight), "Champion of the Hearts"!    

One of the stories that make those tourneys so special...!

I suppose England are a bit better than Argentina.
Germany can't stop hammering their opposition.
Klose... what a quality finisher.  Doesn't even seem to try.  Just naturally ghosts into the right place at the right time and slots one into the back of the net.
It was really sad to see Maradona so upset.  He was definitely one of the characters of the tournament.  Now Argentine fans will have to suffer the abuse from their Uruguayan rivals who have progressed further in the tournament!

I didn't think the Dutch played particularly well against Brazil, but the result is what counts!

Spain vs Germany.  Germany is really taking the hard route to the final!  If they get there that is.

Van Marwijk wasnt the option for teamcoach, The KNVB wanted Hiddink.
Well, it shows what a bunch of idiots they are.
