Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. a little tune to clear the fog from your head...

David Crosby - Song With No Words (Tree With No Leaves)

The first time I heard this song was while hitchhiking back from a camping trip down near Big Sur, a guy had it playing in his van when he picked us up, I guess that makes it another piece of music that makes up the soundtrack of my life....

Nice one.

Now I'm reminded of this David:

Anne Clark - Killing Time

Quote
Stumbling words and stuttering lips
Make the sentence complete
A death sentence complete

Create hell our of hopelessness
Confirm the failure of it all

Falling and calling
Falling and crawling
A Stick in the ground scratches your name
A scream in the darkness is searching
Again and again

Watching eyes wait for sadeness to rise
True superstitions combine and thicken
This poison that reaches my Soul
This terror that blackens my Soul

I must smile at your strategy
And laugh at your plan
And the execution of it all

Like death itself love is rotting inside of me
But there'll be no protection for you - you cannot hide me

I am cold on a bed of ice
But like seasons I know it will pass
It will always return again though
A Summer of love is a momentary and transient thing

Winter will always return again

Wow, Solideo! Great find, been looking for this (2nd) version for a long time after only having heard it once! Heart ache to heart ache (even if we are *not* young anymore)! Sure beats the original "por creces"!

Taking a guess here, you are in love but not responded? If so, don´t worry, happens to all of us... sometimes....  hihi  hdbng xangel ... As the Nazareth saying goes, "Love hurts", in any version...  Knipoog Here three for you, the main stream listener and Jilly:

Enjoy (or not?)

Thanks,  Rattler.  Lovely song.

Music doesn't seem to be on the forefront of my mind lately.   But here's one that I heard on the radio today:

I will always love you, by Dolly Parton:

DOLLY PARTON - I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU

"I Will Always Love You"

If I
Should stay
I would only be in your way
So I'll go
But I know
I'll think of you every step of
the way

And I...
Will always
Love you, oohh
Will always
Love you
You
My darling you
Mmm-mm

Bittersweet
Memories
That is all I'm taking with me
So good-bye
Please don't cry
We both know I'm not what you
You need

And I...
Will always love you
I...
Will always love you
You, ooh

I hope
life treats you kind
And I hope
you have all you've dreamed of
And I wish you joy
and happiness
But above all this
I wish you love

And I...
Will always love you
I...
Will always love you

... and then I run into !GREAT! muzack I had never ever heard of (not even the artist), a mystery that will need investigating...

Well, it happened today, ran into this tune in an advertisment about "Championes" (I was actually looking for an ironing version of "We are the Champions" in Spanish), and got hit by the subtle groove and the (not so) subtle lyrics, the cool and laid back yet dancable layout (took me two hours of research for the tune after having seen the ad).

By now probably all of you know that I am a fan for lyrics, groove and arrangements, what only a fewer number here know is that I love relaxed but funky dance music (it has to fit my black tuxedo and bow tie in "Barracuda" on a christmas eve, (imagining) drifiting effortlessly over the dance floor with a GT in one and a joint in the other hand without spilling a drop or bogarting, simply "cool" GROOVE Smiley )

Well, this one has all of the latter, what a nice tune!

To all the ladies I have ever loved or that ever have loved me (and also to those where the two thingies happened to co-incide), enjoy (and only a few actually slapped me with a frying pan for hanging out with the boys... Ain´t love great?  Brede lach )

my tribute to a great artist

Toots Thielemans (link)

Karine and myself went to see him LIVE yesterday evening for an almost private performance, around 1000 people enjoyed his style, music and humour in a public park.

We were sitting in a small-sized (and very basic) auditorium.

Toots Thielemans - Bluesette

Toots Thielemans - music and interview

Toots has reached the blessed age of 88!

Hi Ratt, LOL, after my divorcing proccess (still on it) has been easy to contact females, of course I did not loved anyone. Since 5 months I have a partner, a typical "andaluza", so pretty, 8 years younger than me. I live her and she lives me, sometimes I think she´s more in love with me than me with her, but she divorced 3 years ago and I haven´t finished yet, so...I think I have a long way to be in real love with anybody, injuries are not still ok, not because I do love my ex, but because she is trying to fuck my arse so much that I am on defensive way all time.

Now a song...for enjoying or not

Knowing your rare preferences I am going to use a bioshit or whatever free adaption of classic Pantera theme FUCKING HOSTILE

Pantera - Fucking Hostile (Biochemical Mix)

And also a quite paranoid band I like sometimes

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

 Carl Orff´s Carmina Burana intro

Ministry - No W (music video)

Ministry - N. W. O.

And now a video which should not been wathed by ladies or sensible souls, so repulsive

Green Jelly - MISADVENTURES OF SHITMAN (Embedding disabled, limit reached)

Cheers

ROFL, if anybody can make me smile....

Wasn´t it you who once sent me a UN dircective Spanish Soldiers should follow when talking to foreigners/higher (I think I qualify as foreigner, no? Smiley )? I did not save it, but with its hilarious-but-oh-so-true content it sounds like now might be the time to release it to the public so nobody gets wrong ideas about the educational level of the Standard Spaniard...  xangel

Haven´t listened to all songs yet, but "Fucking Hostile"....? Only one version (aay...! the Blues again!) makes it into my book, guess I am a bit more romantic and old fashioned....

Tomorrow more (I am angry, and it has to to with Spain, Toros and Catalunya, but it is 0209 and I have to get up to go to my first day working in 4 hrs, and it will be with a hangover, and I will be suffering at 35 degrees at plain sun, and I really should be old enough to not get myself into such situations...  hdbng).

Enjoy some wild (not really hostile at all) 70´s style guitar handling!  iconclap

Slipknot - Fucking Hostile (Ultrarare)

P.S.: Koen I saw your Prince stuff too, he is one of the true few GENIUSes like Zappa! R.
