I just bought 2 new poncho liners while in Arkansas. I lost my last one to my Granddaughter and the two previous ones to my son (including the one I used in Vietnam, it was his baby binkie. when he outgrew it, you could see through it).

Normally we dont use them anymore.
Except in exercises like this where we are irregulars.

Trust me, in thick wooded areas or areas with high density of bush and grass they have no use at all Knipoog

Which was the usual case in the AO I operated in. When it wasnt jungle, it was 8-10 foot tall elephant grass.

I took these pictures yesterday on the HUGE G(hent) city cemetery, instead of hunting/scraying them away these cats are allowed and appreciated on this cemetery.
The cemetery is very old and the cats are a nice addition to the atmosphere.

Here's the latest pic of my service dog 'Gunny' at 14 weeks old.

I took her on her first airplane flights this past week. The longest being the leg from LAX (Los Angeles) to JFK (New York). She handled all of them as though she were a seasoned Vet. The aircrew were all amazed that she was only 14 weeks old.

HOW did she travel?

For 3 of the 4 legs of the trip, she sat in the seat next to me. On the flight from JFK (NY) to DFW (Dallas) the plane was full, so she sat at my feet. Throughout the flights she just curled up in a ball and slept most of the time. When she gets to be full size, she wont fit in the seats anymore, so laying at my feet will be required. Here in America, it is the law that a service dog must be accomodated by the airline to accompany their handler at all times. That means no riding in the hold for my girl.
