Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. in order to prevent myself cluttering other topics I will write my ideas and more in this topic

this is NOT MY topic! You are invited to reply and ask questions and/or add info...yes.... you are VERY welcome!

today I ordered West Coast Seattle Boy: The Jimi Hendrix Anthology - Vinyl

8x 180gr. vinyl
Quote
This 8LP collection tracks Jimi s incredible journey from R&B sideman to international acclaim.

This collection presents for the first time the most sought after of Jimi s pre-Experience recordings as a sideman for such Rhythm & Blues stars as The Isley Brothers, Don Covay, Little Richard and others. All of the misinformation and fake purported to feature Hendrix are swept aside for fans.

The LPs feature previously unreleased and commercially unavailable studio recordings from every chapter of his career, live recordings with the Experience and Band Of Gypsys spanning 1967 through 1970.

The studio recordings include never before released [or even bootlegged!] alternate versions of such classic fare as Are You Experienced, Fire, May This Be Love, Love Or Confusion and many more. In addition, new songs such as Hear My Freedom, Hound Dog Blues and Lonely Avenue make their debut as part of this special collection.

To provide further insight and understanding into Hendrix s creative development, WCSB presents acoustic and electric home recordings of Electric Ladyland signature songs such as Long Hot Summer Night, 1983 (A Merman I Shall Turn To Be), as well as My Friend and Angel later featured as part of First Rays Of The New Rising Sun. WCSB also features another major revelation an electric demo version of Bob Dylan s Tears Of Rage .

WCSB also features a previously unreleased version of Everlasting First, Jimi s 1970 celebrated collaboration with Arthur Lee & Love, an unheard 1967 studio session with Traffic s Dave Mason as well as an expanded presentation of Jimi s legendary session with jazz organist Larry Young.

at work the bosses talked to me about the future of Koen.... we're planning a restructuring of duties and personnel and I would become a kind of supervisor getting some structure in the mess we're in now...
this would mean I'm settled for the rest of my professional career

Phil Collins said that he's tired... he can't understand the popular music these days (can't argue with this POV)... and he has physical problems forcing him too abandon the drums....

thx Phil, you've been one of those guys who had the vibe... you got rich of music but at least you had an identity... as teammember and as solo-artist

isn't it strange when we feel down we choose to listen to sad music?
this album from the Cure has always been an album to run to when I'm down
it's full of emotions, it gives the listener (when you enjoy this music) a trip into the night, a dark and silent environment

they released most 'The Cure' albums in new deluxe editions and by now the prices dropped to an acceptable level:

When I make these I make sure that they are 'beautiful' and 'nice' and that there's no porn or negative pictures/content included, do you think it's indecent?

Not for grown men.

BUT, what about a 13 year old that comes on our site for the history? If his Mom walked in the room while he was looking at that what do you imagine she would think? Maybe a different response here in the US than in Europe. I think that would be the last time he came to our site for a long time if the Mom had a say.

I know my 11 year old Grandson is starting to play wargames. I wouldn't have wanted him to watch this video. But again, that could be an entirely American attitude. Do we know what % of our traffic is from Europe and what % is from the US?

Good Hunting.

We had a poll about that, and I think that the result was that we allowed even debatable stuff (while no hard porn) as long as it is labelled NSFW. Actually we had two polls, on on the staff side and one on the members side, I can (understandably) only refer to the members´one here, but the staff one was even clearer (and with more votes) in the same direction:

explained in the quoted thread (which actually had some nice and interesting discussion): Not Suitable For Work (e.g. you dont want to have it on your screen when the boss takes a glimpse).

alot of changes will happen at work, my help needs to get his act together... he's been 'late' and 'sick' so often he now got his final warning...

when he does survive he needs to take a part of my work away so I can become the supervisor at work to streamline things....

for now I've changed working hours for me to start at 0700 and to finish when it pleases me between 4 and 5 PM... extratime is still payed in the only way it counts.... without taxes  hihi

slowly but steadily the bosses want me to take over and become their 'trusty'
