Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. no, but the first for the 2 of us together. currently we live in a wooden housie of 5m x 6m so the step is quite big

looooooooots of work though, it hasn't been renovated/modernized is 50 years... build in 1936....

no kitchen, no bathroom etc etc

but well build, no neighbours, green environment... it's a longterm project

LOL , yes he is  Brede lach

and we have everything we need... hihi

but it's about time we DO what needs to be DONE... getting older means you need more comfort and our present housie is just too small and too cold....

we don't need a BIG house so the new one is perfect and it gives the misses the opportunity to care for her parents who are getting old

another plus is the ability to give our grandchildren a sleep-over/playhouse room...

Completely missed that post, I am really sorry to hear that (for me, as a smoker, lung cancer is the enemy +1 and not much chance to get on top of him).

How does she take it? I guess that with those holidays this must be an especially cold shower, both for you as for her and hard to ignore...

Not much to learn from lung cancer, is there? Well;: Dopnt smoke, but that we know and wont comply.

I just hope that as the lady is most probably not a girl anymore it will be slow to grow and she can spend a lot more years with you and your family, Stoffel.

FWIW,

No problem Matt,

We hear the results from the testing coming wednesday.
She was quite early because we urged her to see a doctor (loss of weight during a few weeks) so we hope its not to bad......

For us its the third x-mas in a row with bad news.
Wandas natural father died few days before x-mas, her stepfather died last year also around x-mas.

Koen is right, life goes on and you have to make the best of it, my mother is 71 but far to young to leave us alone rightnow Smiley
