Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Hilarious.....

Police in Lelystad received an anonimous phonecall about a hennep(marihuana) field in the polder. smallclap
It was "hidden" in the centre of a cornfield.
Police was busy the entire day to destroy the number of 47.000 plants.

Only, the field was property of the university of Wageningen. hdbng Brede lach Brede lach
This hennep was grown as part of research.
These are useless plants to make joints, and they were grown for ropes, clothing and other stuff.
The university was not amused by this error.
They have two more fields in the are and ...to be sure...they called the police to tell them where.

Growing Hemp for fiber was legal in the US until Du Pont invented nylon and needed a market for their new wonder fiber. Of course the US govt was more than willing to comply.

Drugs are not the problem, they had always existed in nature and have always been used by people along the times.

Problem is the use you give of them ( but also we do in legal terms with alcohol and other nocives things like tobacco) and the first thing on my personal point of view.... DRUG DEALERS that are allowed by governments in a continuously cat-mouse endless battle.

Let´s be realist if people waste drugs is because they want and worst of all without sanitary supervision.

I don´t know if you remember was it was usual to use amphetamines in survival packs of combat rations. Given by government of course and for keeping action assured.

If you don´t want drug dealer (main problem of this), just make them legal and a low cost and under medical prescription und surveilance.

I say this and I don´t have drugs, but I work in a hospital and I walk the streets and see what I see.

Concur completely.

If you make stuff legal, you take the profit out (remember Alcohol Prohibition and associated Mafia wars in Chicago in the 20´s?) and the Mafias will stop dealing almost immidiately, Netherlands give a good example on most of the soft stuff.

ATM (follow the money) the "hard stance against drugs" is just a concealed "give me the right to fill my pockets with bribe money" aad for our politicians...
