Always wondered what it sould be to be a pirate, but no dough/time to make the trip to Somalia? Well, here goes: Just tried it out and made some serious money:

Cutthroat Capitalism  An Economic Analysis of the Somali Pirate Business Model:  http://www.wired.com/special_multimedia/2009/cutthroatCapitalismTheGame

Easy to play, hard to win (I just love the negotiation part)!

Have fun!

WoW!

Beats everything I have seen so far (before: 1.100.000 the record in the various places I posted it).

Your trick?

I fail about 30% of attacks, so my 20 just yield negotiations for 14/15, and I make a meidum of 2M $

Anyway, well done (for a pirate:) )  champ

I only go after Cruise ships and Container ships as they have the most value, you start off asking 10 mil and laugh all the way to the bank with 5-6 mil in ransom. If they are antsy/diff  to begin with in negotiations, I take the 2 mil early and look for loot more easily separated from the shipping magnates.

ps almost forgot...YARR!
