Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Below you find the general briefing for this battle:

After the initial allied successes during Market Garden, the Germans quickley recovered from their surprise.
In some areas the Germans brought together troops in short time that managed to destroy key UK units(at Arnhem)and drive back others.
Many of them lacked training, experience and weapons but they fought well, however as a result losses where very high.
Several brigade and batallion sized counterattacks were carried out everywhere at the front in Holland.
Around veghel, Koevering and near Uden did the Germans try to repel UK and US forces and to recapture bridges and lost ground.
At Veghel the attacks failed because of bad communications, no cooperation and a shortage of reserves and ammo.
But the vtal supply line for the allies, nicknamed Hells Highway had a lot of gaps.
The allies had not enough troops to defend the whole line so they had to react on German attacks.
At koevering the Germans(fallschirmjaegers led by Jungwirth) managed to break through unseen/unspotted by allied troops.
Most of the German paras which were involved walked about 60 km in two days, originally they had to participate with the attack on Veghel by kampfgruppe Walther but they came to late.
Therefore they were used at koevering where they destroyed several allied convoys and took a lot of prisoners.
The Allied command had to react, so they sent 502nd and 506th regiments from the US 101st airbornedivision to counter that danger together with UK armored formations from Eindhoven.
For a short time the Germans hold their position and blocked hells highway.
But the overwhelming power of the allied artillery and the following counterattacks forced them to retreat eventually.

Play: first as Head to head(tested) second Allies against German AI, give a bonus if you think you are good.
Map and forces involved: accurately as possible.
Please report issues and feedback to this website.

Many thanks to Huzaar and Facman for testing.

Have fun!

Very nice and interesting scenario with a beautiful map. I played it H2H and against the AI and both times I enjoyed it.

I was Huzaar's victim in this case. This is not a battle  I would recommend to those of short attention span or those with inadequate patience, as it is a monster in size & scope. Therefore, the battles development takes awhile, but is well worth the wait in it's execution. Our match was a bloodbath, with a well thought out mix of forces and challenging OBJs.
