Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Well, I just look on the left side of the scores for both scenarios. If all the scores on the right side are either high or low then there is a balance issue. If they are mixed then it's probably pretty balanced. We'll know at the end of 32 games.

Good Hunting.

Hi,

I just sum the scores of the actually 17 games :

WUD >>> 808 892 (~ +5 pt / game)
TBP >>> 686 914 (~ +13 pt / game)

It confirms what I think : TBP isn't balanced ... No need to wait all of the 32 games !

Please give us the scores for ToG and TBT, I think we would find something like that too.

Best regards, AF Baal.

PS : A draw isn't a victory.

I count balance differently than you do apparently. I want to know how many times a particular scenario was won by each side. For that I'll go ahead and wait until all the games are finished.

ToG wasn't tracked for scores. What is TBT?

A draw is a victory for the scenario designer. That means that the scenario played out as close as possible. Unless it's hard to get another result. I've played scenarios where a draw was almost forced on you by the OOB's. That's not good.

Good Hunting.

Playing a game is a spend of lot of time (I finished ToG for pleasure) but OK, wait and see.

Wasn't tracked for score but was it balanced ? I was very surprised of what I found on the russian side of the battle.

TBT is Tiger by the Tail that I've played with MrBadExample (a mistake).

I don't say "draw is bad", I say that you may not count draw as victory for one side to determine if a scenario is balanced or not, points aren't a good base in this particular case.

Is there any status yet or a ball park date when the next round will start?

No rush or anything but if it will be another month or so I'd like to start up some other games.

AF Baal,

I can say that all scenarios were tested, most had close results by the testplayers.(and these guys are the best players/designers the cm community have)
Some were tweeked a bit, but IMHO they werent unbalanced.

When I look at Woke up dead or example( which I tested against the designer) I lost just slightly.
I see several results for this battle(more than axis wins) where the allies won big, I think thats just coincidence.

The next round is going to start near January 1st. I'm not sure exactly.

There were way more computer crashes and machines that wouldn't play CMBB that we had to work through than I expected.

I'll have more idea of what will happen next week.

It's January 2nd and    Round 1  is over.

Enough time has been spent to see how computer, work and life woes would filter themselves out.

Time to reset the slots and get round 2 set.

There will be assignments in the mail no later than Friday January 9th. That will give me enough time to see where all the troubled gamers are situated with regards to continuing.

Good Hunting.

I was wondering, could the preset passwords please be published for these 3 round 1 scenario's now that all battles are well and truly over?  I need to report one of the battles at the Band of Brothers site to assist Tanker in remaining a member there but I can't for the life of me remember the password for the Throne of God scenario (Axis side).

Any help would be appreciated.
