Title: Dutch military medal of honor: Militaire Willemsorde, awarded Dutch SF commandos

The Royal Dutch army Corps Commando troepen was awarded the militaire Willemsorde on 15 march 2016 for their outstanding work in Afghanistan.
His royal higness King Willem-Alexander attached the medal to the banier of the unit during a ceremony in The Hague.

Present at this ceremony were detachements of the units awarded with the medal. (list can be found at major Tuinmans topic)
3 knights, majors Kroon and Tuinman and 99 year old James Megellas from the 82nd.
Members of parliament and the Royal family.
Former commanders, other guests from the Dutch army and foreign Special forces units.

In her speech secretary of defence, Janine Plasschaert, mentioned the heroic actions of the units and its men in Afghanistan.
The unit stands for the three important aspects of the medal: bravery, loyalty and prudence.
