Bastogne (B) Perimeter Walk 2011

On the Perimeter

The 34th walk will cross over the Noville area. (10th AD, 1/506 and 705TD Bn Area)
Walkers can choose three distances: 7, 13 or 22 kilometers.
The start will take place from 08:00 a.m until 09:30 a.m at the Sports Center of Bastogne (Centre Sportif – Porte de Trier)
The fare is € 6 per person. Remember that by your participation, you support organizations to assist veterans.
We offer:

- A hot drink on the course
- WC on the course;

- A souvenir patch
Registration and payment on site only at the Centre Sportif Porte Trier Friday, December 9, from 03:00 p.m until 08:00 p.m and Saturday, December 10, from 07:00 a.m until 09:30 a.m.
Accommodation and breakfast in common rooms at the Sports Centre (400 places).
Online registration at the Sports Centre: www.centresportifbastogne.be mandatory.
€ 15 breakfast and accommodation for one night / per person;
€ 25 accommodation and breakfast for two nights / per person

10 h : parachutages sur Cobru-Recogne (si le temps le permet)

Dès 12 h : show statique à Cobru-Recogne (par HRMA, Duty first et les comités des deux villages).

14h30: cortège patriotique (départ devant l’Hôtel de Ville) et dépôts de fleurs aux monuments Patton et McAuliffe

15h30 : Jet de Noix du balcon de l’Hôtel de Ville

Dimanche 11 décembre

Dès 10 h : show statique à à Cobru-Recogne (par HRMA, Duty first et les comités des deux villages).
12h30 : parachutages sur le site du Mardasson (si le temps le permet)

14h30 : Défilé de véhicules militaires dans la Grand rue de Bastogne

Durant tout le week-end

L’amicale des Bastognards Collectionneurs (ABC) fête ses 10 ans d’existence au Parc des Expositions : animations diverses dont randonnées, concert de Glenn Miller, défilé de véhicules, etc.

Visite de la cave McAuliffe à la Base Bastogne (rue de La Roche, 40)

last year reenactments were all along the tour with different campsites, MGholes, HQ's and more
saturday around noon there is a vehicle parade in the center

I am not going to make it either again
USMC. I will set it in my agenda for next year.
Also interesting is the airbornemarch in september at Oosterbeek near Arnhem( first saturday of the month)
I will be present there for sure, maybe we can meet you there.
