That's a very interesting picture of the sIG33 passing a KV2.

Basically they have the same gun but look at the difference in battlefield philosophy. The Germans were using light vehicles with heavy guns while the Soviets were using heavy vehicles with heavy guns. Both of these philosophies turned out to be incorrect and what developed for all nations AFV's were vehicles that ended up in the middle of these two examples.

Is that a KV2?  The turret looks too big.  Although I must admit the only KV2 I've ever seen is the cmbb models.

Yes, that's a KV2. The turret was so large it couldn't be traversed unless the tank was sitting on level ground.

There is a 152mm howitzer in that turret plus all the ammo that the vehicle carries.
