2.Olav Tryggvason, a 1924-ton minelayer, was built at Horton, Norway. Launched in 1932 and completed in 1934, she served as a cadet training ship and minelayer. Captured during the German invasion in April 1940, she was employed by the German Navy under the names Albatros (1940-41) and Brummer (1941-45) during the rest of World War II. She was scuttled at Kiel, Germany, in May 1945 after being badly damaged by bombs.

17 October 1917 Successfully attacked convoy off Norway sinking British destroyers HMS Mary Rose and Strongbow along with nine merchant ships.
Post war interned and scuttled at Scapa Flow.
