Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. Fingers crossed everything will work out for you. I can remember the last time I did this kind of work quite well and I expect to have to do it again...

It'll be totally worth it though.
4  War & Conflicts Discussions / Panzer V & its variants -Panther- / Re: Books: Panther Pz V 'Panther' on: 14 March 2012, 20:41:50
Really? Now that#d have been nice to have... first volume still is pretty expensive, but the second one is much easier on the wallet. Will be my next "big" acquisition.
5  War & Conflicts Discussions / Panzer V & its variants -Panther- / Re: Books: Panther Pz V 'Panther' on: 13 March 2012, 11:28:19
That other list, books worth 375 can $ ...thats 287 Euro.

Which ones do you mean? Honestly I have lost the overview in here... Grijns

Not muc new about the Panther in general, but 'Duel in the Mist 2' is out. Haven't bought it yet, funds are pretty low currently. plus I'll have to buy a birthday present for my wife, but I'm planning on acquiring it as soon as possible. Do you have those too, Koen?

You're lucky to have stumbled over a guy collecting camouflage patterns. Will answer your PM ASAP.
7  War & Conflicts Discussions / Tanks / Panzers / Assault guns / Re: The Skoda Panther on: 11 March 2012, 10:30:08
This vehicle is now more known because of the 'World of Tanks' game, butnot seen very often because it's - well, pretty crap compared to other tanks in its weight class. Grijns

Still, all those 'what if' designs are a very interesting subject.
8  War & Conflicts Discussions / Panzer V & its variants -Panther- / Re: Panthers Sd.Kfz. 171: Where are they? on: 11 March 2012, 10:26:19
There are a bunch of websites dealing with that information already, do you still want to make a full list? We can - if someones's interested.
9  War & Conflicts Discussions / Panzer V & its variants -Panther- / Re: Books: Panther Pz V 'Panther' on: 11 March 2012, 10:24:51
Not that all of these have got somethin to do with the Panther tank... Knipoog
10  Wargaming / Battle for Normandy / Re: CMBN: PBEM on: 29 May 2011, 19:09:06
That happens if one accidentally renames a PBEM file - the more recent one has "TEMP" added.
11  Wargaming / Battle for Normandy / Re: CMBN - Q&A on: 29 May 2011, 19:08:19
No, you have to judge that yourself. Thre isn't such abstraction anymore because everything is more detailed and becasue a squad can be in different terrain types at the same time because of the "action spot" system. But it isn't that hard to tell what kind of terrain your guys are occupying... Grijns
12  War & Conflicts Discussions / Wars & Conflicts: Modelling, Miniatures, Postal Stamps, Music, Patches, Money / Re: Here are some of my models on: 29 May 2011, 09:15:12
I agree with my fellows, these look REALLY good, especially the PzIV. Reminds me that I need to do something with my CMBN textures...
13  Wargaming / Battle for Normandy / Re: CMBN: PBEM on: 28 May 2011, 19:00:18
Actually, you don't have to do anything apart from moving the file you get into the "Incoming" folder and send the file you save from the "Outgoing " folder. Now here comes the trick: you don't need to rename anything (why would you want to, anyway?) but just hiot "Save" and you're good to go.

It is true, though, that you have to manually move the file you get sent into the "Incoming" folder, yes. No way of having that happen automatically, sorry.
14  Wargaming / Battle for Normandy / Re: CMBN: PBEM on: 27 May 2011, 21:38:15
Yes, file can become pretty big depending on number of units and action during turn... A little program called "Dropbox" can help alleviate any troubles you might have sending those files via e-mail. Try it - I did and it makes life so much easier! Grijns
15  Wargaming / Battle for Normandy / Re: CMBN: in the editor on: 27 May 2011, 20:58:48
That's odd. See if it persists - if so, you might want to report it as well. Everything else working?

I know height adjustment can be tricky...
16  Wargaming / Battle for Normandy / Re: CMBN: PBEM on: 27 May 2011, 15:40:49
It IS a bit confusing at first (just like my new car!), but once you have done it a couple of times, you get used to it.
17  Wargaming / Battle for Normandy / Re: CMBN: PBEM on: 26 May 2011, 21:41:17
No, that's correct. Grijns The first two fiels are only for setting the password and exchanging basic data - file 3 will be your first actual turn.
18  The Military / The Military: Newsflash / Re: Defensebudget cuts Netherlands on: 25 May 2011, 14:34:49
The point is: For Germany it isn't desirable anymore to be at war or participate in one. And a lot of Germans have difficulty seeing the reason behind our current deployments. It might change when we get a professional army made up of voluntaries and professionals and no mother fears for her drafted son anymore... a very difficult and problematic issue. Especially since a number of German soldiers have died without actually being in combat.

Another question is: Is it OUR job to deal with "world issues"? We're supporting every peacekeeping mission there is, so you can't exactly blame us not ding anything. Or do you suggest we should invade yet another country again...?
19  The Military / The Military: Newsflash / Re: Defensebudget cuts Netherlands on: 23 May 2011, 13:24:13
I'm feeling with you - our army gets downsized as well, although the cuts aren't that severe... Well, maybe in a couple of years, who knows?

At least we can have the full gory of the Koninklijke Landmacht in CMSF...
20  Wargaming / Battle for Normandy / Re: CMBN Mods on: 22 May 2011, 17:50:54
Almost all of them.

Then either stuff is doubled (possible) or you just haven't realized what has changed in comaprison to the stock stuuf (very likely). Grijns

Admitted, the currently existing mods ONLY make a difference if one has taken a good look at an unmodded game. Otherwise you won't notice the difference at all.
