Vehicle specially adapted for engineer troops.
In the early war period there were prototypes of a bridgelayer based on Pz IV chassis but these were eventually cancelled.
The 251/7 ausf c was armed with a Pak36 it carried two assaultbridges and infloatable boats.
The 251/7 ausf d was armed with the standard MG42.
Both versions used different radios.
