Well, it seems to be similar to a shooter, just with tanks. Most people having tried it were pretty satisfied. Question is what you're looking for - it's no simualtion and you won't have realistic armor battles either.

I saw a demo and it looked more like the tankbattles from Call Of Duty to me...

But I suppose we can give it a try, can we form a WaT squad? :)

Like I said: It's a shooter, but from what I've heard good tactics will help you prevail.

I'd LOVE to have a squad - playing without coordination or people knowing each other you won't get far.

For a game that was advertised as "being free", those pre-order packages are very expensive. Not sepnding my money on those unless absolutely necessary.

Still haven't tried (or even installed it) yet. Maybe in a week when I have some more time...

Question: How would we coordinate our games? Do you guys use TeamSpeak?

no teamspeak here but the game has it's own chatsystem
haven't tried it yet but since you can choose to play 'as team' I suppose chat also works in team

Text or voice chat?
Generally I hate text chat for these types of game as I am a pretty bad typist so by the time I have typed "Tank to the west" I am back at the respawn point.

Without voice chat these kinds of games aren't playable as a team becasue coordination = WIN. No matter if it's a shooter, a simulation, an RTS, wahtever - you need to TALK to your squadmates.

I agree, I opened up a small Ventrilo server just for that sort of thing.

It made Team Fortress 2 so much easier.

all I've seen is text, give it a try, there are several maps in the demo and I started with Leichttraktor and am now cruisin' with a 38  :tank:

   Leichttraktor    8    4

   PzKpfw 35 (t)    7    1

   PzKpfw 38H735 (f)    6    3
