I was wondering if anyone had a take on this new wargame.  I've been looking at the trailors and some of their videos over on the site, but can't really get a feeling for the game.  I can't figure out if it is tactical, strategic, or maybe some sort of melding of the two.  It looks like a real time instead of turn based, but I get no feel for whether it is realistic or semi-realistic.  I didn't get much of a sense for the game even after bouncing around on their forum site.  I did notice that it is 1944 onwards (I'm guessing June 6, 1944), so you miss out on everything that happened before then.

Please let me know if anyone else is looking at it or has purchased it.  I'd be interested in their recommendations.

I'm downloading the single player demo.

Their site is very not-informative.... Huh?

ok, I tried to start up the single player demo but my PC is too 'shaggy', what I can see is that it needs about 1.5GHz of memory and I've got about 1.8GHz so no gameplay on this rig...

I was able to see the intro which is ok, not too long but enough to let you know where you are...in France reinforcing and securing a bridgehead over the Seine..

the movies...1 for tanks and 1 for airplanes are nice but they are movies....can't tell if they look as impressive during gameplay...

when I got the remaining stuff for my new rig....been waiting for 2 months now... I'll give it a go with 4GHz!

Looks an awful lot like World In Conflict.
That engine is extremely promising I think.

Ah yes, world in conflict the gameplay sucked IMHO with only a few weapons on board vehicles.
But I loved the airattacks, specially the A10s and B 52 strikes Smiley
