as WWII submarine movie: one of the best (2nd place below to 'Das Boot')
only negative what I can find is that in the DVD version I have you must choose between 'English' and 'German' so either the US crew speaks German or the German crew speaks English.... I choose to hear the Germans speak German!
What certainly helps this movie to be a 'good' movie is Curd Jürgens, wonderful actor!
