Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. I have created a very big map, 6 x 4 km.
On one side of the map there is a river and a large town with a harbor, the other side of the map also has a large town.
In between them are patches of wood, small towns and a partially dried up river.
The Germans have a defensive line.
Behind that line are artillery parks, a supply depot, an airfield and a camp.
The smaller towns are defended by local volkssturmunits.
I have designed the scenario for the Russian player to breakthrough using Blitzkrieg tactics, smash through and swarm out behind the German line destroying HQs and more important stuff.
The Germans have to secure their rear echelon assets, build a new line and stop the Russians.
I am playtesting it with Cranky.

What I want is some discussion about how to build a perfect operation suitable for two players in which we can perform reconnaisance (and with what kind of force) to find weak spots in a defensive line.
Use the next battle to attack using combined arms tactics.
With the designers currently on the site we should be able to make a very big and enjoyable operation for people who want to play with military tactics.
