Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. As you probably already have realized, I have made a few new banners this morning, hope you find them to your liking.

In total there are 13 that get rotated randomly at every page reload, I have tried to paint a bit of all to amplify our presentation.

What do you mean by that?

Today, another 25 banners added, Napoleonic and antique area and a bit WW2, more to come (have to shut down, thunderstorm overhead).

O I C: I have ll banners saved with all layers as .psd, so I can easily make them e.g. the size your´s has and upload them for everybody to download to his liking from a "Signature Banner" thread.

For WaT, my goal is to go to 100 banners (so far we have 53), so I am always open to ideas of what stuff I should integrate (hint, hint, keep them ideas coming!).

Oh, and btw: What is the font you are using in your banner?

yes, resizing would be the easiest and fastest solution
font? hmm..dunno anymore....build it a long time ago

new banners...Well...I still would build some with the intro text on them

so f.e. left side text and right side picture on the same banner

O I C. Will try and think something up (but actually, at first shot would place the text above the shoutbox).

Anyway, another 21 added, mainly artwork surrounding AirForce, but also some nice shots from tearing the Polish border down on SEP1 and a submarine with a He 219 overflying it low.

More tomorrow.

Uploaded another 31 banners, now I will (for the moment( leave it at that with a total of 109 banners/headers that rotate randomly every time you open a page.

This last charge I dedicated to other sides of warfare: Signals, Medics, injured soldiers(you will see the blind from mustard gas in 1916 all in one row), death on the battlefield, POW´s, etc.

I will now proceed to make a batch run to offer all those banners for signatures in smaller size.

Hope you all like them,

thx, I like most of them and with such an amount they'll never get bored  smallclap

I know you know what you're doing but what dimensions do you have in mind for sig banners?

I believe that my sig banner could be the right size altough, I believe, it has been automatically resized

Added two more banners today:

- The pic provided by FACman

- a little prank on another forum that copied our guest-welcome-text idea (used their logo pic - modified) Smiley

Following a suggestion from one member who wanted more equilibrium towards antique peridos added 10 more head banners today, in a mix: 5 banners depicting Hun battles/warriors (which also serve for Djenghis Khan), and 5 from the Japanese Samurai period. Also added them to use for sig banners in the respective thread.

Total now: 123 banners.

More to come.

Just FYI,

I think the pictures of men and equipment is better than the battle maps. By the time I get close to figuring out where the battle is the banner has changed. I don't have that issue with the men/equipment.

Just something to think about.

Good Hunting.

Well, the first person to realize I am adding my personal geek kind of fun here Smiley :

Hint: If you dont hit any button, banner wont change. There are 7 original maps out there currently, all of well known battles, wonder if anybody can allocate them all?

Let the TA have some fun, the work is hard enough (should you not believe me, you are welcome to produce any number of interesting 800x120 px header banners and submit them to TA Smiley ).

Understood as such and NOTED, with appreciation. Got all the battles pinned down?
