Welcome to War and Tactics!    War and Tactics Forum is currently undergoing some modifications that might disable features you are used to. This is unabvoidable as we have to update the forum engine to a new structure that is incompatible with many of the features we had used so far. The good news: WaT will be more secure and stable, and most of the features we uninstalled will be a natural part of the new structure anyway. For the rest we will be looking for solutions. I have had it for quite a while but I can not identify the vehicle (primarily due to poor quality), does anyone have any idea?

My guess its one of the Frenchtanks the Germans captured in 1940.
If its took in Arnhem 44 it probably is one of those, out of my head it was 624 pz company or something like that.
Have to look it up.

Easy: Flakpanzer 38 (sometimes also kown as "Gepard"), very likely one of the vehicles in service with "Hitlerjugend" in Normandy. A better view (in absence of a suitable photograph):

Isn't the drivers visor on the wrong side for that?

According to my sources it isn't. In this case we either have a second verison of the FlakPz38 or the photograph is mirrored. I think the latter...

Yep, I guess the latter, it fooled me too Smiley
Driver usually sat left.
It led to changes in traffic rules for bicycles in holland during the war Knipoog
They lost right of way when they come from right, because the driver on the tank couldnt see the bicycle coming , it caused some bad accidents.

Interesting. But hen handling tanks you should ALWAYS give them right of way - now and again there are accidents because people just don't know how a tank behaves when driven...

LOL yes.
Reminded me of an accident I saw once in Germany.
A German guy with his mercedes somehow managed to get between two leopard tanks, despite the tanks drove in a column with blue flags and guided by military police.
One of the tankdrivers hit his brakes, the other behind him reacted too late and drove onto the Mercedes squeezing it between him and the other tank:)

The German guys car was shortened by 1 meter and he shit his pants Knipoog

when my brother was still active in Germany they had several crashes with less so good outcomes...Leopards driving OVER cars isn't such a good idea...  Onbeslist

BTW: the picture is a movie-still (if that's the correct name)
